Reading a Hyperfang Label
Card Information Window
This section displays the essential details about the card inside the slab. It’s your quick reference for identifying the card at a glance.
Grade Area
This section displays the final numerical grade (1–10) assigned to the card, along with the grade title (e.g., Gem Mint). It’s the most prominent part of the label and reflects the overall condition based on subgrades.
Unique ID (UID)
This number links directly to the card’s digital record, providing authenticity, traceability, and enhanced security.
Additionally, the first two digits of a card’s UID represent its brand (e.g., 01 for Pokémon, 02 for One Piece, and so on).
Grade Icon
Some slabs include a small Grade Icon in the bottom right corner. Cards graded Gem Mint 10 feature a mint candy icon, while cards that achieve our Black Diamond perfect score display a diamond icon instead — a quick visual cue for exceptional quality.
Subgrade Section
Displayed just below the QR code, subgrades break down the overall score into four key categories:
Centering (CT), Corners (CR), Edges (EG), and Surface (SF).
This gives collectors a deeper understanding of how the final grade was determined.
QR Code
The QR code links directly to the card’s official online report. Scanning it reveals the full 40-point grading breakdown, high-res card image, and verification details for collectors, buyers, and sellers who want instant proof of authenticity.
Card Catalogue Scan
This window displays a thumbnail scan of your actual card, captured during the grading process. It helps verify that the card inside the slab is the one that was graded.
A high-resolution scan of both the front and back is also available in the card’s full digital report, accessible via the QR code.
